

Constance A. (Bergeron) Roy, 91, of Lewiston, passed on January 23, 2026. Born February 27, 1934, in Auburn to Arthur Bergeron and Irene Levertu, Connie was a proud Auburn native and Golden Arrows majorette, known for twirling her baton down Court Street.
She married the love of her life, Edward L. Roy, on September 2, 1952, at St. Louis Church. Together, they built a joyful life in Lewiston, raising six children over 66 devoted years of marriage until Edward’s passing in 2018. Connie worked in local shoe shops and waitressed at Andy’s Lunch, always bringing warmth and laughter wherever she went.
Family was Connie’s greatest treasure. She was the Roy Matriarch and will be lovingly remembered by her children: Edward Jr., Paul (Yvette), Karen (Richard Shaw), Donna (Donald Deschene), and Ann Marie. She was predeceased by her son David. Connie was a proud Memere to 12 grandchildren, Jennifer, Tammy, Danielle, Angela, Diana, Sonya, Evan, Cassandra, Matthew, Jeremy and Jennifer Shaw, Eric Chaloux (predeceased) and 17 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy. She also leaves behind her beloved siblings: Jeannette (Patrick Hurley), Anita (Larry Daigle), Andrew (Ibi), and was predeceased by her brother Arthur (Pat).
Connie found peace in her faith as a longtime communicant of Holy Cross Church. She loved gardening, keeping a tidy home, and gathering her family close—often reminding them, “Family is the most important thing in life.”
Family and friends are invited for a visitation at The Fortin and Pinette Group, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Pkwy, Lewiston on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. There will be a funeral mass the following day – Friday, January 30, 2026 at Holy Family Church at 11am. Interment will follow in the spring at Broadview Cemetery.

The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Candace Crawford (personal nurse) from C&M Healthcare for her loving, compassionate, and dependable care. Connie grew to love Candace like one of her own children. Also, thankful to Andwell Hospice.
