Donald Louis Saindon

He was educated in the Lewiston school system. During his high school years, he was a paperboy and worked at Bonneaus Market. After graduating, he went on to work with his dad at W.E. Cloutier/Cannolight Vault company. He then went on to work at G.A. Frechette as an Electrician for 23 years when he opened his own Electrical Contracting business, Saindon & Son Electrical for 32 years. He simultaneously served proudly as a firefighter for the City of Lewiston for 25 years. Don shared and passed on his amazing work ethic to his children.

Don loved fishing, camping, boating, woodworking, and spending time with his family. He was long time member as a 4th Degree with the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed attending church services at Holy Trinity Parish.

Donald is survived by his four children, Solange Cote, Muriel and her husband Gilman Michaud, Norman and his wife Amy Saindon, and Laurie-Ann and her wife Brenda Byram, and his honored daughter Lori and her husband Dan Wyman. His grandchildren Heather Cote, Carrie-Anne Davis, Amanda Breton, Derek Michaud, Alex Corey, Nick Corey, Amanda Ouellette, Colby Gary, Emily Gary, Cassidy Saindon, Carissa Saindon, Dani Wyman, and his great grandchildren Aileah Cote, Kamree, Kooper, Kolby, and Kenzie Davis, and Ryker Wyman, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his wife Carmen (Gagnon) Saindon, his parents Albert and Muriel (Parent) Saindon, his sisters Patricia and her husband Richard St. Laurent, and Joline Saindon, and his son-in-law Robert Cote.

A Funeral Mass honoring Donald's life will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church in Lisbon. Graveside Services will then follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you kindly make donations to Andwell Health Partners, Hospice Home Care, 15 Strawberry Avenue, Lewiston, Maine 04240. The amazing home hospice care team took such great care of Don for the last 5 months, but especially over his last few weeks. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 3-7 PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
