

Lisbon, ME – Fernand R. Levesque, 86, of Van Buren, ME passed away peacefully on Friday morning February 16, 2024 in Lisbon. He is the husband of Robertine (Levesque) Levesque.He was born in Van Buren on August 28, 1937 a son of the late Thomas & Antoinette (Berube) Levesque. Fern grew up on the farm where he started working.
He had a work ethic that was second to none. He spent eleven years working at Loring Air Force Base in the maintenance department doing plumbing and heating. He also took care of all the farmer’s and wood splitters. He opened his own business, Fern’s Small Engine Repair Shop, specializing in Husqvarna and McCullough chainsaws. He went on to do this for fifty five years, never wanting to stop. He was a lover of hunting, camping, fishing, and sight seeing. It can be said he always Enjoyed Life.
Besides his wife of 67 years, Robertine (Levesque) Levesque he is survived by his daughter Sharon N. Parent and her husband Dale of Lewiston; two grandsons Luke and Kristie (Welch) of Auburn; Dominic and Candice (Gray) of Lewiston; as well as two great grandchildren Chase and Camille, three sibling Leona (Levesque) and the late Philip Marquis, Reno Levesque and his wife Mona, Roger Levesque and his wife Joyce (Beaulieu) along with several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Robert of South Windsor Ct, and wife Jacqueline (Levesque) Levesque, Rosaire and wife Lorette (Cote) Levesque of New Britain CT; late sisters Edwina (Levesque) and husband Donald Parent of Madawaska; Stella (Levesque) and husband Robert Carrier of Van Buren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 27th at 10:00am at St. Bruno-Remi Catholic Church immediately followed by a mercy meal in the parish hall. Committal services will be private at St. Bruno-Remi Catholic Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all who helped take care of Fern over the past few years, your actions are gratefully appreciated. They would also like to thank Pinette, Dillingham & Lynch for their services of Fernand.
