Florence E. Wood

LEWISTON - Florence E. Wood, 91, of Sabattus, joined the Lord in Heaven Saturday, Nov. 15 after a short stay at Ste. Marguerite d'Youville Pavilion.She was born in Lewiston, daughter of the late Archie and Grace York Dobson. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married June 3, 1945 to Lester A. Wood who predeceased her in 1982. For many years she and her husband owned and operated Stevens Feed Store in Sabattus.Florence was a member of the Sabattus Community Baptist Church. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. Florence also enjoyed her annual cruises in the Caribbean. She is survived by her brother Linwood Dobson of Lewiston, two daughters, Patricia LeBlanc and husband Edmond of Lisbon, Donna Gallagher and husband James of Bowdoin; three grandchildren, Lisa Bussiere and husband Tony, Wendy Roy and Robert Roderick; 5 great grandchildren and a great great grandson.
