Gabrielle C. Violette

Gabrielle C. Violette, 82 of Auburn died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec.3 at Central Maine Medical Center. She was born in Lewiston, the daughter of Romeo and Rose Dionne. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married on Oct. 23, 1948 to Francis D. Violette. Gabrielle was a dedicated Mom who raised her seven children and nurtured a home where all were welcome. She enjoyed her time spent outdoors with family and neighbors and she will be sadly missed by all those she touched in life. She is survived by her loving sister, Dorothy Violette, two daughters, Susan Palange and husband Andrew of Lewiston and Gail Coolidge and husband Charles of Auburn; three sons, David Violette and wife Kristina of Lewiston, Steven Violette and wife Karen of New Hampshire and Gary Violette of Massachusetts; 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis, in 2007, her son, Daniel Violette, in 1989, her daughter, Sandra Gammon, in 2010, and three sisters, Jeannette Violette, Muriel Caron and Alice Veilleux. Visitation Monday at Fortin/ Lewiston from 2-4, 6-8 PM. Services will be celebrated Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Committal to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
