

He was born in Lewiston, Maine on November 21, 1957 the son of Joseph and Pearl (Martel) Forgues.
He graduated from Lewiston High School.
He married Doris (Bechard) Forgues of Turner on September 7, 1985.
Jerry was a hard working man and had many talents and interests. He was a safety officer at the Turner Fire Department for nine years and an ATV safety instructor. He worked at Hall and Knight Supply Co., Pontbriand Hardware for twenty-five years as a clerk and did small engine repairs. He also worked at Giant Advance, True Value Hardware in the Turner Plaza, Propsy’s Properties in maintenance and Strain Rite Co.
He enjoyed helping people whenever he could. Ask and he was there. He enjoyed taking rides and antiquing with his wife and going to pawn shops just to see what was there.
His number one activity was hunting with his nephews and teaching them safety in the woods. He was always prepared.
He loved each and every niece and nephew with all his heart and looked forward to spending time with each one. When he retired he got his dog Nugget and they were best buddies. They went everywhere together.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years of Lewiston; two sisters Dorothy Dumais of
Auburn and Irene Beauchesne and her husband Richard of Lewiston; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
Memorial Services honoring Jerry’s life will be celebrated on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM at The Fortin & Pinette Group in Lewiston. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 from 9:00 AM till the time of the service at The Fortin & Pinette Group 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
