

Lewiston - Guy Villeneuve, 78 of Lewiston died Saturday at his home after a one year bout with cancer. He was born in St. Methode, P.Q. Canada, July 15, 1936 son of the late Odias and Almoza Champagne Villeneuve. He was educated in Canadian schools and was married June 6, 1959 to Jeanne M. Tardif. Prior to his retirement Guy was employed at the Lewiston Public Works Department as a welder for 27 years. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Cross Church and enjoyed tinkering with cars, metal fabrication and tending his garden and spending time with his grand daughter. He also enjoyed ice hockey and was an avid Montreal Canadians fan. He is survived by his wife Jeanne of Lewiston; a daughter, Linda Additon of Scarborough; a grand daughter, Kaylin Additon of Scarborough; three sisters, Muriel Roy and Candide Brochu both of Biddeford and Simonne Paquette of Los Angeles, California. He was predeceased by a son, Yvain Villeneuve, a sister, Rolande Villeneuve and a brother, Fernand Villeneuve. Visitation at Fortin/Lewiston Friday from 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Church. Committal St. Peter's Cemetery.
