

Mrs. Helene Alice Bissonnette passed away Sunday at the Hospice House in Auburn. Marking the "ten" of a person she would become, Helene was born on October 10,1910 to Charles and Alice Clement in Tronville, France. She met her husband, Raymond, while she was working as a psychiatric nurse and he was serving his country during WWII. Helene came home with Ray as a war bride and spent the remainder of her life in Lewiston.Mrs. Bissonnette was employed in the shoe industry for many years, she was the seamstress for the Pine Tree Warriors Drum and Bugle Corps, an active member of the Passe Temps Snow Shoe Club and Holy Cross Parish. Helene enjoyed sewing, gardening and spending time with family. A true gentle soul, her kind and nurturing spirit will be sadly missed by her daughter Monique Brochu, granddaughter Sandra Marquis and her husband Daniel, grandson Michael Brochu and his wife Carol, all of Lewiston: grandson Daniel Brochu and his wife Michelle of Scarborough: and her greatgrandchildren Heather, Robin, Cameron and Courtney. Mrs. Bissonnette is also survived by a sister Eva and several nieces and nephews in France. She was pre-deceased by her husband Raymond and her son-in-law George Brochu.��BISSONNETTE died in Auburn, September 2, 2007, Mrs. Helene A. Bissonnette age 96 years a resident of Lewiston.�A Mass of Christian Burial honoring her life will be held THURSDAY 9:00AM at Holy Cross Church.
