

NASHVILLE, TN - James Albert McMahon, 83, died January 5, 2007 at Skyline Hospital.�He was the son of Vincent and Rose (Roy) McMahon of Madawaska, and was a native of Maine until 1990. He was educated in Madawaska schools, he served in the United States Army spending 4 years in the European theater during World War II, and held the rank of Master Sergeant. He was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, The Good Conduct and Victory�Medals.�Following his discharge from the service, he was employed in Connecticut and South Portland, ME. He graduated from Auburn Mid State College in 1946, while married to Frances Piselli McMahon, while working in the Augusta office for the Internal Revenue Service as Agent and Pension Trust Administrator until his retirement after 30 years. He then�did private consultant work. and was appointed Commissioner of Veteran's Affairs for the State of Maine. Socially, he was life member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Disabled American Veterans, former State Commander and National Executive Committeeman of the American Legion, the Elks,� Sons of Italy, St. Patrick's Men's Club, Calumet Club, and since 1978 served as Chairman of the National Employment Commission.�His hobbies were hunting, fishing, gardening, and travel.�He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gibbs Dalton McMahon of Madison, TN; Daughters, Anne Marie McMahon of West Palm Beach, FL; Grace V. McMahon of Auburn; a son Thomas J. McMahon and his wife, Debra Gardner of Augusta, two grandchildren, Holly and Kevin McMahon of Augusta, his brother, Louis McMahon of Chicago, IL; his sisters,�Helen McMahon Whitman of Wallingford, CT.; and Margaret McMahon Stirk of Northboro, MA.�He was predeceased by his son, Vincent J. McMahon, his parents, brothers, Frank and Clifford McMahon, and sister, Barbara Laskowski.��MCMAHON died in Nashville, TN, January 5, 2007, Mr. James A.
