

Born in Lewiston, Maine on August 25, 1936 and was the son of Ovila and Annette Marcotte Roy.
Joe attended school in Lewiston and graduated from St. Dominic High School in 1954. Upon graduation he joined The U.S. Navy and attended Radio School before being assigned to the U.S.S. Salem and visited many countries in Europe. He completed his tour and was assigned to Shore Duty in Norfolk, VA. for one year and then discharged.
He returned to Lewiston and started his career in Management training with SS Kresge Co., and trained in Bridgeport and Danbury Conn. After his training he was promoted to Store Manager and assigned to The Kresge store in Morrisville, Pa.
On August 20, 1960, he married Constance C. Laliberty and they bought their first house in Levittown, Pa., and lived there until 1974 before returning to Lewiston and buying their second home on Warren Ave., and lived there until 2014.
He worked for Twin City Printing, LL Bean and United Ambulance until his retirement in 2006. His hobbies were hunting and fishing with family and friends and cheered for the Bruins and the Patriots. Besides his wife he is survived by brother Richard of Portland and predeceased by his brothers Eugene and Paul of Lewiston and Gerard of Denver, Co.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 27, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Highway, Lewiston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday May 28, at 1:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Sabattus St., Lewiston.
