Liliane C. Dozois, 84, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the Hospice House in Auburn.
She was born August 5, 1937 in Lewiston the daughter of Gerard and Beata (Lebel) Dozois.
Liliane was one of the original American members of the Company of St. Ursula, a secular institute founded by St. Angela Merici in 1535.
She graduated from the College of New Rochelle and later received an accounting degree. She worked as a self-employed accountant for many years in the Springfield/Chicopee Massachusetts area. Upon retirement she moved back to Maine. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church, Prince of Peace Parish and sang in their choir. For several years she volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Liliane enjoyed going out to dinner with family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by three sisters Jacqueline Fortin & husband Arthur, Monique Dutil, and Judith Dozois & companion Joan Gibbons; a brother Claude Dozois & wife Carol; several nieces and nephews; and her spiritual sisters in the Company of St. Ursula.
Visitation will be 9-10:30 am Thursday, December 16 at the Fortin Funeral Group, 70 Horton Street, Lewiston. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow 11 am Thursday December 16 at the Holy Cross, 1080 Lisbon Street, Lewiston.
