

Auburn - Luc U. Pomerleau 93 of Dawn Ave; Lewiston died Saturday October 8th at the Androscoggin Hospice House with his family by his side. Born in Lewiston March 10, 1923 a son of the late Arthur and Berthe Poulin Pomerleau he was educated in Lewiston schools. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Mr. Pomerleau was a member of The Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Cross Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus Lewiston Council 106. He worked as a weaver at The Continental Mill and Quinco Fabric. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, spending time at his camp, talking about his time in world war II and going to church. Luc will be remembered for willingness to help others, for his sense of humor, his love of sweets, all his stories and dedication to his family.
He is survived by his wife the former Pauline S. Rivard of Lewiston whom he married September 5th, 1953, his daughter Irene C. Teixeira of Lewiston, his son Michael L. Pomerleau of Auburn, former daughter-in-law Stacy McGaw, grandchildren, Justin and Ashley Teixeira, Dylan Pomerleau, Sarah Wing great-grandchildren, Kyen, Lucas, Violette and Grayson, brother Conrad Pomerleau and wife Ruby of FL, sister and brother-in-laws, Jane Landry, Lorraine Drouin and husband Richard, Norm Rivard and wife Yvette, Robert Rivard and wife Marguerite and several nieces and nephews.
