Marie Jeanne (springburial) Lefebvre

Lewiston, ME - Marie Jeanne (Toussaint) Lefebvre, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the age of 99. Marie was born in Lewiston to Lydia (Labbe) and Earnest Toussaint. She grew up in Lewiston with her eight siblings and attended St. Mary’s School.

She was married to Roger Lefebvre on July 13, 1946 at St. Anne’s Church in Lisbon. In her younger days, Marie worked in shoe shops in Lewiston and in her free time she enjoyed ceramics and playing cards with her sisters. She would visit Old Orchard Beach every summer with Roger and her son Laurier.

Marie was very devoted to her Catholic faith, reading her bible and reciting her rosary. She also volunteered her time and was a member of the Society of the Ladies of St. Anne’s. Marie was an avid walker and spread joy everywhere she went. Her favorite moments were spending time with her family, grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

One of the highlights of her retirement was a trip to Europe to visit the Vatican and Portugal.

Marie was pre-deceased by her husband Roger, brother Romeo Toussaint and sisters Madeleine Boulay, Sister Therese Toussaint, Priscilla Jolicoeur and Liane Moreau.

She is survived by her son Laurier and his wife Therese of Lewiston; grandchildren Paul Lefebvre and his wife Julie of South Portland, Karen Gardner and husband Michael of Clinton (Connecticut), Michelle Davis and husband Jason of Greene and Cynthia Powers and husband John of Otisfield; 13 great-grandchildren Laura Lefebvre, Lucas Lefebvre, Allison Gardner, Matthew Gardner, Eve Gardner, Kate Gardner, Tyler Davis, Gage Davis, Christien Davis, Reagan Davis, Presley Davis, Eli Powers and Niko Powers; and sisters Connie Roy, Lorraine Quintal and Doris Saltis

The family wishes to thank the staff of Montello Commons for their wonderful care during Marie’s stay as well as the care provided by Beacon Hospice.

Services will be scheduled for a later date in the spring. Burial will take place at St. Peter Cemetery, Lewiston, ME.
