To Mike's family..... Although I hadn't seen Mike in almost 40 years, I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Last year, at the viewing of "PAL HOP DAYS", I was transported back to a time and place, where Mike always had a smile, and treated everyone as a friend. Even those of us who were a bit younger, and not as "cool". :) The Innkeepers were our favorite band. And their chemistry, especially when Mike was at the microphone, was magic. I'm only sorry I didn't get to know him more later in life. My sincerest sympathies to you all. God bless you, Mike.

I got asked by the Royal Knights to play on stage with them at the 2010 PAL HOP, an enormous honor for me. While there, I grabbed the oportunity to go meet the other bands that were in the lineup getting autographs and the like. Saw this chance as a huge opportunity and was entranced to see how the L/A communities loved and supported their bands like no other I've ever witnessed. During the course of meeting various members of these bands, I remember well meeting Mike Goff. He came off vibrant and excited that this was happening and lit up performing again. He stood out because he really looked good as a frontman for the Innkeepers. He sang very well for someone who thought that he hadn't sung for many years. I thought he put on an exquist performance, a natural I thought. He was very into the whole thing. He also was all smiles and very appreciative that I introduced myself and asked for his autograph. Absolutely, I remember Mike Goff and won't ever forget him or the others or that most memorable evening when I, Tom Nickerson of Palermo, Maine, who saw the Royal Knights at the Rockland Community Center when I was twelve years old, knocked my socks off, especially Eddy Boucher and that ability and that sound. Never forgot them ever all through the years and then I perform with them at the Last Hurrah. God Bless The Knights, The Moondawgs, The Traveler's, Terry and the Telstars, The Rockin' Recon's and The Innkeepers and very much so, God Bless Mike Goff, I feel very honored to have met him, a very nice man indeed.

Difinitly one of the good guys , always enjoyed his love of adventure and upbeat attitude and all the memories of playing hockey, Popham , and of course the Goose . Godspeed

Mike will be sadly missed by so many people that he inspired. Like many, I've known Mike since the PAL hop days and I will always remember him as a great entertainer. He would always stop by my office at Mechanics Bank to say Hi when there for an inspection. May he rest in peace,

Mike possessed a natural, unpretentious charm and had a heartwarming smile. His presence was always uplifting. He was a kindred soul who now rests with the Lord, waiting for his loved ones.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. I was "Nurse Jane" to Mike. I met Mike through "RB" many years ago. My favorite story took place in the 70s when RB, our children and I came home from a family outing to find Mike sitting in our livingroom. Now the house was locked and the only open window on the second floor of the split level. Mike amazed our children with how he got in..."I climbed the wall and climbed in the window!!!" The days of the long hair and such entertaining stories! Many crazy, funny, wonderful stories over the years. A colorful man who will never be forgotten. Again, so sorry to hear of his recent death. We were able to be blessed to have known him over the last decade. When he would come to Portland he always came to the shop to say hello with his big smile and have a great chat with him. Diane and I were shocked to hear of Mike's passing. We use to have many good times together back in the days of the Maine Mariners. It has been several years since we last saw Mike since we now live in Florida. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. He will be missed and we will never forget him!

I am so sorry for the lost of Michael. I did work with him while employed at S.S.I. I very much enjoyed the times we spent working together....the stories he used to tell me of his travels and the days being in the band. I left S.S.I in the early 90's and never stayed in touch, but I know that he will be greatly missed . He was a popular person w/ a great personalty. I only got to know Mike the last few years at Pat's Pizza on Thursday nights when he went there with Brian, Mike & Dr. Bob.
