LEWISTON - Mildred B. Dixon 87, a resident of 102 Campus Ave., Lewiston formerly of Auburn died early Wednesday morning at St. Marguerite d'youville Pavilion following a long illness. She was born in Lewiston June 16, 1921, the daughter of James R. and Sarah (Scott) Roix. She was housewife most of her life who enjoyed knitting and making afghans as well as fishing in her younger days. Survivors in include one son, Robert C. Dixon and his wife, Lorraine of Lewiston; two daughters, Mildred Leavitt of Poland, and Patricia Lee Gagne and her husband, Andrew, Jr., of Old Orchard Beach. Also surviving 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Sylvanus Dixon who died August 25, 1996 and one daughter, Sandra Swain who died May 18, 1999. DIXON died in Lewiston, September 24, 2008, Mrs. Mildred B. Dixon age 87 years formerly of Auburn. Funeral services honoring Mildred's life will be celebrated FRIDAY 10:00AM from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son with Reverend David Clark presiding. Burial with committal prayers to follow at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
