

AUBURN- Nancy Leona Desjardins Robinson, 81, of Auburn passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Clover Manor with family at her side. She was born in Lewiston, Maine on November 16, 1942, the daughter of Roland and Gertrude (Pepin) Desjardins. She attended schools in Lewiston and graduated high school in 1960.
Nancy was a homemaker and raised three daughters. She often worked as a bookkeeper and manager at several restaurants and businesses – a few which she and her husband, Robie, managed or owned –The Big S, Chuckwagon, Steak Out, Ted E Bears and many Dunkin Donuts franchises in Maine and North Carolina.
Nancy was a woman of class and would always be seen driving her Cadillacs. She took pleasure in meeting her family and friends out for breakfast on the weekends and loved chatting with many familiar faces at all the local diners.
In her younger years, she loved bowling and was always an avid player of word games, cards and puzzles. You’d be lucky if you could beat her! She enjoyed crafts that involved penmanship and hand dexterity and even tied fishing lures for L.L Bean. She loved all things Tom Brady and enjoyed her Sunday afternoon football games. Nancy was also extremely proud of being “Lego Nana” to her grandson Anthony.
She is predeceased by her parents Roland and Gertrude (Pepin) Desjardins, and her husband, Robie (David) Robinson and a number of cherished pets, including her beloved dogs, Raja and Rosie.
She leaves behind the following family: three daughters Mary Robinson of Lewiston, ME, Penny Davis and husband-Andrew Davis of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Amy Maddaloni and husband-Michael Maddaloni of Parrish, FL; Five grandchildren Anthony Robinson, Elise, Chloe, Emma and Brooks Maddaloni and his wife Alexis of Parrish, FL; and two great-grandchildren, Knox & Myles Maddaloni.
