

He was born in Auburn, January 7, 1932, the son of Alphonse and Albertine (Dufour) Caron.
Normand was a 1949 graduate of St. Dominic High School and joined the Army National Guard serving in the military during the Cold War. Following his service to his country, Norm was employed as a safety officer at Philips Elmet for 50 years until his retirement. He also was an active ski patroller in his younger years at Lost Valley in Auburn. In later years he served as a parking control officer at Lost Valley. He also enjoyed salt water fishing.
He loved his family and loved singing French songs. In younger years he was a noted boy soprano who soloed many times at church during Christmas and Easter services.
Survivors include his wife the former Lorraine Verville whom he married in 1956 of Auburn; two sons, Greg Caron and wife Mary of Bath, and David Caron of Hampstead, NH; two daughters, Michelle Caron of Ft. Townsend, WA, and Celeste Glover and husband, Richard of Portland; two sisters, Jeannine Robitaille and husband, Roger of Lewiston, and Sonia Robitaille of Brunswick, five grandchildren, Michelle Love, Nicole Glover, Matt Caron, Joshua Caron, and Melissa Lassus, and three great grandsons, and also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one brother, Robert who died in 1991.

A Memorial Mass honoring Normand’s life will be celebrated THURSDAY, July 17th 11:00AM at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be private.
