

AUBURN- Normand D. Dufour, 67, of 87 Manley Road, Auburn died Saturday November 29, 2008 at his residence following a long illness. He was born in Lewiston, Maine on January 25, 1941 the son of Willy and Florence (Pepin) Dufour and had been a resident of this community all of his life. He was known as a man of "Jack of all Trades", and was a self-employed electrician until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served from 1959 to 1962. He was a member of the New Auburn Social Club, the Pastime Club and St. Peter's Church.Normand was an avid outdoorsman, loved motorcycles and cooking. He most of all loved spending time with his family and friends. Normand was a caring and fun loving man who cared deeply for his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by everyone that was close to him. He is survived by his wife the former Cheryl Hall whom he married on May 30, 1970 of Auburn; his mother Florence Dufour of Lewiston; one son Ken Dufour and his fiance Misty White and two step-sons Randy and Jeffrey Hall all of Lewiston; one granddaughter Kadyn Dufour of Lewiston; two grandsons Chad and Ryan Dufour both of MA.; two step-granddaughters Megan and Crystal Jordan both of Lewiston; four great grandchildren; one sister Doris Pelletier of Lewiston; a sister-in-law Cindy Masse and her two sons Kevin and Joey Masse all of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Willy Dufour who died in 1991 and his brother-in-law Gene Pelletier. NOTICE Dufour- Died in Auburn Saturday November 29, 2008. Mr. Normand D. age 67 a resident of Auburn. A Funeral Mass honoring Normand's life will be celebrated Thursday 11AM at the Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul. Committal prayers with Military Honors will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. A celebration of Normand's life will continue at the New Auburn Social Club following the committal service at the cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend.
