

Auburn - Pauline T. Charest 80 of Sabattus died Saturday May 21, 2016 at the Androscoggin Hospice House with her family by her side. Born in Lewiston October 15, 1935 a daughter of the late Emile & Antoinette Bergeron Croteau. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1954. Pauline was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Family Church and past president of the Ladies of St. Anne's Sodality. A very spiritual person, she was a Eucharistic Minister and involved in Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults classes. Pauline worked at Blais Flower Shop as a floral designer for many years, and retired as an activities coordinator at Ste. Marguerite d'Youville Pavilion. She was a volunteer at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice. She enjoyed being with family, traveling with her husband Nel, gardening, and music. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a founding member of a group called The Lucky Ones, a group of adoptive mothers that still get together after 55 years. Pauline will be remembered for her beautiful smile, generous nature and willingness to help those in need. She had a passion for collecting pull-tabs from cans of soda and donating them to charity. She always had them in her pockets. She is survived by her loving husband Lionel R. Charest of Sabattus whom she married November 28, 2000, her daughter Dina Duval LeClair and husband Scott of Nashua, NH, her sons, Denis Bonneau of Knoxville TN, Daniel Bonneau of Lewiston, grandchildren, Diana, Joshua and Nicholas Bonneau, Alden and Abbey LeClair and a great-granddaughter Ariana, her sisters, Olive Tash and husband Donald of Rochester, NH, Joline LeBlanc and husband Donald of The Villages , Wildwood FL. She was also predeceased by a sister Laurette Allen and brother in law Paul James Allen Sr. She was married to Bertrand Bonneau who died in 1964.The family wishes to thank the Lamp Nursing Home and Androscoggin Hospice House.
