Bill was born March 13, 1935 in Lewiston, the son of Alphonse and Gracia (Picard) Bilodeau. He was the youngest of twelve children. He was a Christian with a strong faith and deep love for his family, and a lifelong member of St. Louis parish and later of Sacred Heart parish.
He is survived by his wife Carmel and their three children Marc Bilodeau, his wife Rhoda Bilodeau, Roger Bilodeau, his wife Suzanna Bussiere, Susan Noddin, and her husband Bruce Noddin. Grandchildren Angela, Brianna, Daniel and Benjamin and Great Grandchildren James and Juliette, Sophia, Aila and Amelia. He was predeceased by his parents and four brothers, Joseph, Raoul, Valmore and Roger, and seven sisters, Armande Delisle, Juliette Fontaine, Sr. Yvette Bilodeau, Yolande Harvey, Muriel Fontaine, Gilberte Baril and Jacqueline Baril.
During his career, he was the Cutting room foreman for Falcon Shoe when he retired in 1996. He served in the US Air Force for three years. His love of sports was a lifetime enjoyment, from playing to officiating and finally watching baseball and hockey. Card playing and popcorn eating were also an enjoyment shared by him and all his siblings. He was also the proclaimed “King” of the family.......
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 2-5 p.m. at the Fortin Funeral Group, 217 Turner St., Auburn, ME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 1 pm at Sacred Heart Church, 24 Sacred Heart Place, Auburn, followed by internment at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Lewiston, ME.
