

He was born in Lewiston, Maine on August 6, 1936 the son of the late James F. Sr. and Leona M. (Hildreth) Moore and had been a resident of this community all of his life.
He attended Lewiston schools and was a graduate of Lewiston High School Class of 1954.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served during the Korean Conflict. He then entered the finance field working twenty five years with Key Bank and eight years with Androscoggin Savings Bank, retiring in 2004.
Richard enjoyed traveling, landscaping and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Janice (Yokell) Moore whom she married on June 13, 1959 of Lewiston; one son Matthew A. Moore and his wife Bonnie L. of Lewiston; one daughter Shanna M. Teets and her husband Mark of Lewiston; four grandchildren Katelyn E. Moore, Brenda A. Moore, Isabella L. Seet and Eric Seet; two great grandchildren Jett and Nova Greenleaf; one sister Jeanne Kinney and her husband Milton of Clearwater, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Moore- Died in Lewiston on Saturday, December 10, 2016. Mr. Richard A. age 80 a resident of Lewiston. A Funeral Mass honoring Richard’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church. Committal services followed by a military honors service will be held later in the spring at Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Richard’s memory to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society 55 Strawberry Avenue, Lewiston, Maine 04240.
