LEWISTON- Robert A. Coulombe, 64, was called home to be with his Creator on Wednesday February 2, 2011 at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. He suddenly became ill last November around Thanksgiving and died as a result of medical complications caused at that time which lingered until Wednesday. He was born on March 11, 1946, to Irene (Larrivee) Coulombe and Robert A. Coulombe Sr. in Lewiston, Maine. Both parents passed away when Robert was just a young boy and his youth was spent very close to his two sisters, Georgette and Janet and their families. He remained in the Lewiston area and as a Christian, was raised in the Holy Family Parish and the St. Mary's Parish areas allowing him to stay close to his family. His years of marriage gave him two children who survive him (Robert "Rocky" Coulombe (Bath) and Jessica Sampori (Portland) and six grandchildren (Jacob, Tiana and Elizabeth Coulombe and Angela, Alden and Andrew Sampori) and one great grandchild. Robert attended local schools and earned his diploma from Lewiston High School and also graduated from a Tractor Trailer Driving School. Prior to retiring at an early age due to disability, he worked for various local companies including driving for Mayflower Transport. He was a devout football and Dallas Cowboys fan, loved country music, and most of all was always very proud to have attended any and all family functions allowing him the opportunity to enjoy his large family. Surviving Robert are his sister Georgette Coulombe (Bob deceased) Miller of Greene, and her three children, Patricia Ann Morin of Greene, Irene "Cookie" Pergamo of California and Christopher Miller of Greene. Also surviving are his other sister Janet (Coulombe) and Bob Juneau of Litchfield and her four children Robert Chenard of California, Randy Chenard of Washington State, Tracy McNutty of Massachusetts and Travis Chenard of New Mexico.
