

LEWISTON- Robert J. Nadeau, age 90, of Mellon Street, Lewiston died Monday evening February 19, 2007 with his four sons by his side at D'Youville Pavilion. He was born in Black Lake P.Q. Canada on February 5, 1917 the son of Archille and Roseanna (Turgeon) Nadeau. He was the husband of the former Emeline Gallant who died on June 7, 2000.Prior to his retirement he worked for many years in a local textile industry as a loom fixer at the Bates Mill.He was a parishioner of Holy Family Church and a member of the former St. Joseph's Mens League. He was known of the jack of all trades.He is survived by four sons Robert R. and his wife Rachel of Biddeford, Fernand E. and his wife Monique of Kennebunk, Bertrand R. and his wife Kathy of Claxton, Georgia and Maurice J. and his wife Gloria of Lewiston; one sister Helen Simonetti of Lewiston; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.He was predeceased by his wife, Emeline Nadeau; five brothers and six sisters.
