Stephen Anthony Pugliese

He was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on July 13, 1950 the son of the late Anthony and Eleanor (Learned) Pugliese and had been a resident of this community most of his life.

He graduated from South Portland High School Class of 1968. He then attended college at Central Maine Community College.

Stephen was employed for various companies including West

Breeze Orchards before joining the Auburn Police Department where he had been a Police Officer for 37 years until his retirement in 2011. He served as a Reserve Officer for 12 years and 25 years as a full time Officer.

He enjoyed taking long rides on his motorcycle, boating, and most of all enjoyed he spending time with his family and friends.

Stephen was known as a true and devoted friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Graveside Services honoring Stephen's life will be celebrated later in the Spring at a time and day to be announced at New Powers Cemetery in Newry. Family and friends are invited to join for a visitation that will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 4-7 PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group 305 Alfred A.
