Susan C. St. Pierre

LEWISTON: Susan C. St. Pierre, 62, of Sabattus passed away on Tuesday May 13 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston with her family by her side. She was born in Lewiston on February 20, 1952 a daughter of the late Amedee and Jeannine (St. Hilaire) Emond. She grew up in the Lewiston area, attended local schools there and was a student at Lewiston High School. On August 11, 1977 she married Donald St. Pierre and together they had a son. Susan was a CNA and spent over 19 years on the nursing staff at Russell Park in Lewiston. She loved to help the elderly and sick people. She will always be remembered for her enjoyment of music, crossword puzzles and playing cards. She also held her faith and religion in very high regards. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Donald, her son Joey St. Pierre, stepson, Christopher and his wife Annette and a stepdaughter Jennifer Costello and her husband Eric. Susan also leaves behind her sisters, Linda Emond, Debra and Karen St. Hilaire, a brother Michael St. Hilaire and her grandchildren Ryan St. Pierre, Jonathan Whittaker and Kyle St. Pierre as well as several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the St. Mary’s ICU staff for their compassion and devoted care to Susan in her final days. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday May 18 from 4-7 at Fortin in Lewiston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday May 19 at the Basilica of Ss. Peter and Paul (lower chapel) at 1pm. Committal prayers will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston.
