Theresa (Godin) Lafontaine

Theresa was born in Auburn on July 26, 1927, a daughter to George and Alma (Simard) Godin and attended Auburn schools.

She married Richard Lafontaine on July 13, 1968, and the pair were happily married until his passing on September 11, 2019. They shared many wonderful years together, traveling, going out to eat and enjoying quality time with family.

Theresa worked at CMP for 22 years as a customer service representatives. She made many lifelong friends during her time there.

When Theresa wasn't working, she was an avid sports lover (and a secret Yankees fan). She was also a devout Catholic and a proud member of the Les Dames de Sainte Anne with St. Louis Parish in Auburn, ME.

Theresa is predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Richard, her sister Priscilla, brothers Gerald, Roland, Marcel and Bertrand.

She leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, especially Daniel Godin who cared for Theresa during her final years.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Montello Manor and the Heights for the compassionate care they gave to Theresa.
