Thomas M Bergeron

Tom was born in Lewiston Maine, January 13, 1949 to Louis and Gloria Bergeron. He had a love for music that started in high school. Tom was a member of the Temptations Four and they played at the Pal Hop dances in the 60s. In the late 90s, Tom gave up the bass guitar to learn to play the flute. He played in the Auburn community band along with his father, Louis and daughter Karen for several years.

Tom graduated from Edward Little in 1967 and joined the army to serve our country. He served for four years and became a machinist instructor, serving his last year in Vietnam.

Tom married his High School sweetheart Claire Vachon in 1969 when he returned. They had two children, Michael and Karen. They divorced in 1986. In October 1995, Tom married the love of his life JoAn Marshall. Tom was a hard working man. He loved to work with his hands. When he wasn’t working on the job, he was remodeling or building something for their home. Welder by trade and woodworking as a passion. When he wasn’t working on something around the house, he would enjoy camping and fishing up to Moosehead Lake with his brother-in-law and dear friend, David Marshall. Tom was a loving husband, supportive father, Grampy, a great Grampy, and a PROUD Vietnam Veteran who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is predeceased by his parents, Louis and Gloria Bergeron, a brother Rocky Bergeron, his son, Michael Bergeron, along with many aunts uncles and his grandparents.

Tom is survived by his loving wife JoAn, daughter, Karen and husband, Michael Rattigan, granddaughter, Taylor and her husband, Spencer Wright, granddaughter Haley Bergeron, grandson Gage Ritenour & family, great granddaughter Finley Wright, and sister Catherine Bergeron.

Services will be held at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta 143 Blue Star Ave Augusta, ME on June 21 at 12 PM.
