

LEWISTON - Timothy H. Grimmel, Sr., 55 passed away Saturday December 9th at the Androscoggin Hospice with his family by his side. He was born in Lewiston, July 6, 1951 the son of Frank and Norma (Sampson) Grimmel. He attended Lewiston school, and later graduated from Lisbon High School. He worked for Bath Iron Works, and later worked for Mario's Restaurant in Bath ,Dutchy's Restaurant in Lisbon, for his brother at Grimmels Service Station in Lewiston, and later for Gendron's Mobil as manager for over 25 years. He was past president of the Maine Country Bassers Club. Tim loved boating, and was an avid fisherman. Above all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as being cheerful and full of life. His customers will miss him dearly as he was always there for them with his caring ways and big smile. Survivors include his best friend and mother of his children, Diana Grimmel of Sabattus, his daughter, Jennifer Pellegrini of Auburn, his son, Timothy H. Grimmel III, of Sabattus; five brothers, James J. Grimmel, Sr., and his wife, Irene of Lewiston; Francis Grimmel and his wife, Diane of Greene; Robert Grimmel and his wife, Jeannine of Lisbon, Paul Grimmel and his wife, Carole of Greene, and Richard Grimmel of Pensacola, FL; Two Sisters, Faye Poirier and her husband Albert of Las Vegas, NV; and Leila Coombs and her husband Richard of Topsham; three grandchildren, Anthony, Jeremy, and Gavin Pellegrini of Auburn, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son, Timothy H. Grimmel, Jr. GRIMMEL died in Auburn, December 9, 2006, Mr. Timothy H. Grimmel age 55 years a resident of Lewiston. A Celebration of Tim's Life will be held SATURDAY December 16th at 11:00AM from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son with Reverend Norman Boulay, Sr., presiding. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Tim's memory may be sent to Androscoggin Hospice House 236 Stetson Rd., Auburn, ME 04210.
