

AUBURN- Toussaint Bisson, 85, of 200 Stetson Rd. Auburn and formerly of 23 Spofford St., Lewiston died Monday morning May 17, 2010 at the Hospice House of Androscoggin following a short illness. He was born in St. George, PQ Canada on October 31, 1924 the son of Aime and Marianne (Busque) Bisson and had been a resident of this community since 1951. He was married to the former Laurette St. Laurent whom he married on October 11, 1947; she died on September 8, 2004. He owned and operated Bisson's Upholstery for many years until his retirement in 1995. He was a parishioner of the Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul and also a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Peter's Parish. In his earlier years, Toussaint enjoyed fishing, playing cards and spending quiet time at home. He is survived by one daughter Claudette Poulin and her husband Claude of Lewiston; two sons Raymond Bisson and his wife Lucie of Lewiston and Roland Bisson and his wife Jacqueline of Lewiston; one sister Gloria Boily of Davie County, FL.; six grandchildren Brian Poulin of South Portland, Michelle Bisson of Lewiston, Daniel Bisson and his wife Melissa of Lewiston, Jennifer Bisson of Portland, Zachary Bisson of Mechanic Falls and Stacia Poulin of Lewiston; two great grandchildren Deagan and Gavin Bisson of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters Cora Grenier and Micheline Bonneau; and by two brothers Francois Bisson and Arthur Bisson. The family would like to thank the staff at both Schooner Estates and the Androscoggin Hospice House for the excellent care they have given to Toussaint throughout his illness. A Funeral Mass honoring Toussaint's life will be celebrated on Friday 11AM at the Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul lower church of the Prince of Peace Parish. Committal prayers will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
