LEXINGTON - Funeral services for Albert Matthew Bennett, 62, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church with interment in the church cemetery. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Matthew was born September 13, 1950 and passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013. He was the youngest son of the late Brooks and Daphne Bennett. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and served in the United States Navy. As a band member of the Insights, Matthew was a talented singer and song writer. After twenty years of service, he retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield. Mr. Bennett was a life-long member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Elaine, sons, Matthew and Taylor, daughter, Laure and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Brooks (Shirley).
