Allen Lee Dooley Jr.

LEXINGTON - Allen Lee Dooley, Jr., 32, of Lexington passed away on July 16, 2016. Lee was a graduate of Lexington High School and the University of South Carolina Aiken. He was employed as a Senior Auditor with the South Carolina State Auditor’s Office. Lee was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting, planting food plots and spending time at the family farm. Lee enjoyed playing golf, swimming and boating, and he will be missed by those who knew him. His quick wit and loyalty endeared him to many and his absence will leave a void in the hearts of those whose lives he touched. Lee is survived by his parents, Allen and Lynn Dooley; sister and brother-in-law, Lauren and Justin Black; sister, Aubrey Dooley; grandparents, Peter and Eleanor Lloyd, AJ Dooley and the late Connie Dooley. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.The family will receive friends at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church on Wednesday, July 20, at 11:00 a.m. with burial at St. David Lutheran Church Cemetery. Child care will be provided for funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, "Take One Make One” Attn: Executive Office P.O. Box 167, Columbia, SC 29202 or Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church 1205 Old Cherokee Road, Lexington, SC 29072.
