Angela L. Bedenbaugh

CHAPIN – Funeral services for Angela Roof Bedenbaugh, 51, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with Rev. Myles Beck to officiate. Interment will follow in Red Bank United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.

Angela was born October 9, 1966 in Columbia, SC and passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017. She was a daughter of Sadie Hook Roof and the late Richard Glenn Roof.

Angie (Wine) Bedenbaugh began her career with the South Carolina Department of Corrections in 1987 at the Central Correctional Institution (CCI). She left there to become a police officer at the West Columbia Police Department, where she later accepted the position of Clerk of Court. She went from there to become Clerk of Court in the town of Irmo. In 2007 she returned back to SCDC to work in the Kirkland Reception and Evaluation Institution. She was promoted from there to the inmate records branch.

Angela is survived by her mother; fiancée, Freddy Wine; sons, Mitchel Cory Bedenbaugh and Calvin Coleman Bedenbaugh; daughter, Kirsten Lee Bedenbaugh and sister, Teresa Glenn Stephenson. She was predeceased by her father and her brother, Richard "Ricky" Glenn Roof, Jr., Jr.
