Ashley graduated from Airport High School. She loved animals and was employed by Sunset Animal Clinic for 22 years. She helped treat and care for Richland County and SLED K-9’s, which was very close to her heart. Her greatest passion and accomplishment in her life was her son, Charlie.
She is survived by her mother, Sandra Stewart McElveen; son, Charlie Mayo; bonus mom, Lisa Clark Price; sisters, Mari Kaye McElveen Haney and Holly Clamp (Jody); niece, Mari Penn Boatwright; nephew, Josh Haney; Mema’s, Alice Riley Stewart and Shirley Williams McKinney; aunts, Cathy (Jay), Claire, Sharon and Susan (Cy); uncles, John and Steven; numerous cousins and lifelong best friend, Jana Brown Medlin; boyfriend, Jerry Strock; The Wanderlusters and many dear friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Marty Price; bonus father, Tommy McElveen; grandfathers, Percy Stewart and Bill McKinney; and sister, Lynn McElveen Boatwright.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Stone River, 121 Alexander Rd, West Columbia, SC 29169.
