Betty Lou Sease-Wingard, 77, of Lexington, SC peacefully passed away at the Lowman Home in Chapin on May 8, 2021. She was diagnosed with vascular dementia. She faced her foe with courage, dignity and grace.
Betty was born in Lexington, SC to Cecil and Virgie Sease on October 10, 1943. She attended Lexington High School. Betty and Tom Wingard owned and operated T&B Crafts for many years. Betty was a member of Pisgah Lutheran Church of Lexington. She enjoyed making crafts, breeding and raising Poodles and spending time outdoors with her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Virgie Sease; her husband, Norman Wingard; three brothers, Melvin, Ralph and Nelson Sease and her oldest son, James D. Kyzer, Jr. Betty’s surviving siblings are Marilyn Casey of Aiken and Roger and Richard Sease of Lexington. Also surviving are her children, Cindy Miller (Steve) of Marshall, NC and Robert J. Kyzer (Tracy Chandler) of Lexington, SC; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Pisgah Lutheran Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
