LEXINGTON - It is with a heavy heart that the family of Carolyn Elaine Anton announce that she passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, May 19, 2018. She was in residence at Agape Hospice House in Lexington, after experiencing multiple complications from her long battle with cancer.
Born February 21, 1952, in Greenville, South Carolina, the daughter of Waco Wilheight King and Verlie Beatrice Corn, Ms. Anton is survived by three daughters: Tammy Vickery of Easley, SC, Terri Raulston of Easley, SC, and Alice Davis-Subrt, of Kenosha, WI. She was a loving grandmother to Tasha, Trina, John, Shane, Emily, Logan, Vincent, and Samantha, and to her great-grandchildren, Xander, Haley, Jesse, Leila, and Scarlett. She worked as a Wal-Mart associate for the past 19 years, enjoyed music and gardening, and was a friend to all.
In keeping with her final wishes, Ms. Anton requested that her remains be donated to The University of South Carolina’s Gift of Body Program, so that future generations of physicians and researchers can learn from her experiences and hopefully improve the life of someone else in the future.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude for her closest friends who visited with her in her last months. For this reason we welcome anyone who was touched by her friendship and generosity to join us in celebrating her life at a memorial service held at 4:00 p.m Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home Lexington Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, we kindly request that you donate in her name to a local women’s shelter, hospice, or cancer research charity or facility.
