Dana S Corley

LEXINGTON - Dana Sheppard Corley, age 45, of Lexington, SC, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, June 19, 2017. She was born September 21, 1971, to Linda Fulmer Sheppard and Larry Dean Sheppard. She was a loving sister to Stacy Lea Sheppard and is predeceased by her sister Linda Dean Sheppard Smoak. She was the granddaughter of Lois Jacobs Fulmer of Columbia and is predeceased by her grandparents Richard Fulmer of Columbia and Danny and Cora Lee Sheppard of Bennettsville.

Dana was a devoted wife of 25 years to H. Wynn Corley and they have two sons, Justin Dean Corley, age 24, and Jacob Ray Corley, age 16, along with a grandson, Talon Anderson Corley, age 4.Dana was employed by the Lexington County Clerk of Court’s Office. She was a member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Lexington. She graduated from Lexington High School where she was a cheerleader. She has many friends including her “YaYa” Sisters and enjoyed time at the beach with her family and Lakewood friends, boating, and tailgating at Williams-Brice but most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family and her grandson. Dana received numerous awards including America’s Young Miss. Her beautiful smile, her infectious laugh, and her care for others will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Dana’s family will hold a memorial service at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Lexington on Friday, June 23, at 3:00 p.m. Family will visit with friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:45 at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dana Sheppard Corley Memorial Fund, First Reliance Bank, 801 North Lake Dr., Lexington, SC 29072.Caughman-Harman Funeral Home Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
