Donald Hugh Mill, 58, formerly of Atlanta, GA, passed away November 23, 2021 after a brief illness. Known as Donnie by his family and friends, he grew up in Columbia, SC as one of four brothers including his twin, Ronnie.
A graduate of Brookland Cayce High School, he attended Winthrop University and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management from University of South Carolina. He began his life-long career in hospitality and sales at The Ritz-Carlton Atlanta and from there worked alongside the top event planners in the city. He developed not only a unique style for entertaining, but legions of professional relationships and friends. Well known in the industry, he had the opportunity to work with many Fortune 500 companies, world-class sporting events - including several Olympics and Super Bowls - and with elite social clients. He will forever be remembered by his colleagues and close friends for his impeccable taste and style, his creativity, his quick wit, and his warm, loving heart.
He is greatly missed by his surviving family: brothers, William Scotty (Susan), Ronald D (Ted), Richard P (Allison); uncles, Charles (Bambi) Wilson, Norman (Linda) Wilson; and nephews, Harrison and Spencer Mill. He is predeceased by his parents, William H. and Judith W. Mill of Columbia, SC.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 701 Whaley, 701 Whaley Street, Granby Room, Columbia, SC 29201.
