

Donald was born on July 14, 1941 in Luxemburg, WI to the late Otto Mueller, Sr. & Cora (Salszieder) Mueller. He was baptized & confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Luxemburg. Donald attended St. Paul Lutheran School and graduated in 1959 from Luxemburg/Casco High School. He later attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. His career after school began as a machinist at Kewaunee Engineering, in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. From March of 1967 to May 31, 1998, he was employed at Gardner Denver (Cooper Power Tools) in Green Bay, Wisconsin & Lexington, SC. He retired as a senior process engineer. He served two years on the USS Lake Champlain at Quonset Pt. Rhode Island, ending active duty on December 2, 1965. On June 24, 1967, Don married Carole J. Anschutz at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montpelier, Wisconsin.
Donald is survived by his wife, Carole; daughter, Constance Cook (David) & son, Douglas; grandchildren, Blake & Miranda Cook. He is further survived by his siblings, Darlene Gauger, Otto Mueller, Jr. (Marilyn), Dorothy (Joe) Stodola, Delores (Eugene) Pribek, Leon (Louise) Mueller, Janice Schmeling, & Ronald Mueller.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Otto Mueller, Sr. & Cora; brother-in-laws, William Gauger & Mark Schmeling; & his in-laws, Donald & Irene Anschutz.
Donald enjoyed the outdoors all his life – hunting, fishing, gardening, & walking in the woods. He was a life-long Green Bay Packers fan & enjoyed watching them play with other members of the SC Packer Backer Club.
Funeral services will be held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Columbia, SC on June 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with burial at the Bay Side Cemetery in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
