BATESBURG - A Celebration of Life Service for Donna Lynn Horres McBride, 61, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 9, 2013 at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at Caughman- Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

Donna was born in Charleston, SC on April 3, 1951. Surrounded by loved ones, she peacefully entered her Heavenly home on Thursday, March 7, 2013. She was a reading interventionist for more than ten years at Midway Elementary School where she was loved dearly by all that knew her. She was a former member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church and a current member of Denmark Presbyterian Church. Her passions in life included Missionary work, singing in the choir and spending time with her family.

She is survived by four loving children, Parris McBride, Christi Butel (Mario), Rob McBride (Katie Beth) and Ginny McBride (Brian); sister, Reverend Kay Horres-Durst of Charleston, SC; very special friend, Coke Floyd, as well as numerous loved ones. Also left to cherish her memory are six grandchildren, Skyler, Kelsey Lynn, Ashlynn, Braylon, Hilton and Kayla.

She is predeceased by her husband of thirty-nine years, Reverend Dr. Robert H. McBride, Jr.; Father, James Horres; Mother, Virgina Horres and Brother, Grier Horres.
