
LEXINGTON- Funeral services for Dorothy Elizabeth “Dot” Wingard, 85, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 30, 2011 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church with Rev. Karen Gibson and Rev. Butch Powell officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
Mrs. Wingard was born in Red Bank, South Carolina to the late James H. Williamson and Grace Smith Williamson. She was married to the late W. Hammon Wingard. Dot was a faithful servant to her Heavenly Father and she was a loving and devoted wife and mother.
Mrs. Wingard is survived by her children, Rita Adams, Angie (Chris) Meetze and William H. “Bill” (Cathy Deloach) Wingard; brothers, Author Williamson and Jerry Williamson; grandchildren, Randy (Sara) Robinette, Russell (Tammy) Robinette, Lauren. (Matt) Wingard, four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Louise Powell and a brother, George Harrison Williamson.
