

Born in Maine on October 19, 1957 to Richard and Marjorie Couture, Greg grew up in Oakfield, New York, where he was a 1976 graduate of OACS High School. Greg attended Paul Smith’s College where he graduated with a degree in Restaurant Management. He was instrumental in opening many restaurants throughout the United States. Later, Greg owned and operated Mother Nature’s Irrigation and Landscaping. Greg was a very hard worker and had a very strong work ethic. As a faithful member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Greg was a Fourth Degree with the Knights of Columbus. In this capacity, Greg felt very strongly about community service and giving back to the Church he so loved.
Greg was dearly loved and is survived by his parents, Richard and Marjorie Couture; his wife, Lisa Walker Couture; step daughter, Jamie; step sons, Justin and Harrison; his brother, Douglas Couture; his sister and brother-in-law, Katherine and Don Phillips; nieces, Emily, Sarah, Melanie and Myla; Father-in-law, Denis Brody; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Scott Brody, Bernie Brody, Douglas Brody, Julie Brody and Rachel Brody; nephews, Chris and Brett, many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
The family would like to extend special thanks and gratitude to Dr. Madden, Wendy and the entire staff of Lexington Oncology Associates for the excellent care and compassion they have shown during Greg’s illness.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2011, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2350 Augusta Hwy. Lexington, SC 29072. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210 or to the Greg Couture fund being established through Corpus Christi Catholic Church, which will be used to help families in need in the Lexington Community.
