
GILBERT - A celebration of life for Janice Louise Eades, 84, of Gilbert, will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Burial will be in Fort Jackson National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends starting at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Janice passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2013 after 62 years of marriage to her beloved husband, Allison Winston Eades. Born in Fort Wayne, IN on May 15, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Charles G. Howey and Marian Richmond Howey.
Surviving are her husband; her son, Al Eades (Joyce) of Indianapolis, IN and her daughters, Vicky Eades Kolo (Jim) of Mt Laurel, NJ and Pamme Eades of Cayce. Also surviving are her sister, Ann Chadwick of Spotsylvania, Virginia and 3 brothers, Robert Howey of Fort Wayne, Donald “Bud” Howey (Shirley) of Columbia City, IN and James Howey (Wanda) of Fort Wayne. In addition, Janice enjoyed 6 grandchildren, Melissa Eades Porter (Scott), Jeffery Eades, and Jennifer Eades Coy of Indiana and Lynsey, Shelby and Darby Kolo of New Jersey. She also had 9 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Janice attended South Side High School in Fort Wayne. She worked briefly before becoming a wife and mother. In later years, she became an avid crafter. A former resident of Cookeville, TN and Willingboro, NJ, she moved to Gilbert in 1992. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gilbert-Summit Library, 405 Broad Street Gilbert, SC 29054.
