Jean was born February 16, 1939 in Columbia, South Carolina. Jean graduated from Pelion High School and immediately went to work for General Electric where she retired after 48 years. She was an avid reader and lifelong Carolina Gamecocks fan. She enjoyed traveling and spending time on Lake Murray.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joe Parker; mother, Belle Mixon Poole; father, Chester Poole; brother, Jack Poole; and granddaughter, Katie James.
She is survived by daughter, Wendi Duvall; grandchildren, Justin, Kara and Kala; and great-grandchildren, Jayden, Madison, Jesse, Jayda, Marley, Sunnie, Jasper and Johnny.
