Johnny was born on September 16, 1959 in Columbia, SC to the late Sonny Sturkie and Velma Spradley. He was predeceased by his wives, Brenda and Rhonda and son, Jesse; stepdaughter, Michelle Green; brother, Bubba Sturkie and brother-in-law, Stan Jeffcoat. Mr. Johnny is survived by his sisters, Brenda Jeffcoat, Susie Cooper; brothers, Shannon Sturkie and Jacy Sturkie; stepson, Scott Brazell (Samantha); step son-in-law, Johnny Green; step grandchildren, Morgan and Sam Brazell and step great-granddaughter, Emily.
Johnny was a private man who treasured spending time with his family traveling, fishing and four wheeling. He also loved history and visiting historical sites. He was part owner of Advantage Automobiles.
