Tim moved to South Carolina to enjoy his retirement in warmer weather after retiring from Rochester Community Schools in Rochester, MI. He was a hardcore University of Alabama football fan. Tim loved keeping up with WWE and was passionate about traveling to see extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brother, Chris Watkins.
He is survived by his sister, Cindy Bailo of Lexington, SC; brother Bruce Watkins (Shelly) of Lexington, SC; sister, Jenny Grupido (Larry) of Lake Orion, MI; and nine nieces and nephews: David, Candice, Laura, Erica, Zak, John, Josh, Anthony, and James. He is also survived by his dear friends, Bob and Calvin.
A memorial service will be held for Tim at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29073, with a visitation to follow.
