She was predeceased by her sister, Cynthia Zeigler.
Survivors include her spouse and best friend of over 30 years, Leslie Ranger Helms; her 3 daughters, Angel Brazell (Jayson), Lindsay Hurd (Mike) and Cynthia Helms; her sister, Faith Zeigler; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Malinda enjoyed the simple things in life. She would often sit on her back deck late at night listening to her favorite artists that included Reba McEntire and Cher. She loved writing in her journals and receiving cards and flowers from her children. Sunflowers were her favorite.
She enjoyed the family trips to the mountains and the beach when her children were young. We will miss her daily text messages, her humor and most of all the sound of her laughter.
She will be dearly missed by all that loved her.
A memorial service in her honor will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. Flowers or cards may be sent to the funeral home.
