LEXINGTON – A memorial service for Margaret Louise Kent Matthews, 99, of Lexington, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Lexington Presbyterian Church with a visitation prior from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in Culpeper National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stevensburg Baptist Church, PO Box 41, Stevensburg, VA, 22741 Attn: In Memory of Peg.
Mrs. Matthews was born March 23, 1917 in Baltimore, MD. She was a graduate of Columbia Bible College in 1943.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Shoemaker of La Grange, GA; sons, David of Culpeper, VA and Wilson of Lexington, SC; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
