LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Maria Reichel Wolford, 82, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with interment in Lexington Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wolford was born April 11, 1930 in Heiligenstadt, Germany and passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013. She was a daughter of the late Michael and Sophie Wagner Reichel. Maria loved to garden and loved her doggie. She enjoyed cooking for her family.
Surviving are her sons, Allan Wolford (Linda) of Franklin, TN and Rick Wolford (Pam) of Gaston; 4 grandchildren, Wendy Slaughter (James C.), Amy, Richard and Cody Wolford; 4 great-grandchildren, Paige and Payton Perkins, Blake Spencer and Hannah Henshaw; sisters, Otti Gremmler and Kunni of Germany. She was predeceased by her parents and husband, Malan J. Wolford.
