Marvin O. Price

LEXINGTON – Funeral service for Marvin O. Price, 82, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2016 at Red Bank Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.Memorials may be made to the Men’s Ministry at Red Bank Baptist Church or Amedisy Hospice Care of Columbia, SC.

Marvin was the son of the late Lonnie Edgar Price and Carrie Elizabeth Taylor Price. He was born in Lexington, SC January 17, 1934 and passed away Monday, February 1, 2016.

He attended Red Bank Baptist Church. He worked and retired from Pacific Mills (Springs Industries) along with his twin brother for 46 years. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting and the Atlanta Braves Baseball. Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Price; daughter, Marie Slice; grandchildren, Brandon Slice, Heather Gerity, Mark Slice and Kathy Lynn Slice; great-grandchild, Isabella Marie Gerity; sisters, Ellen Shealy, Betty Shealy, Dorothy Clamp and Evalou Alexander. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Ray, Ernest, Joe, Hubert, Melvin and Voight Price and sisters, Mozell Oxner, Connie Hite and Lucy Koon.
