

LEXINGTON - Funeral services for Mary Eugenia Scoggins McCracken, 88, of Lexington will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Red Bank United Methodist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
Mrs. McCracken was born March 21, 1928 in Olar, SC and passed away Monday, April 11, 2016. She was the daughter of the late James William Scoggins, Sr. and Ella Catherine Gignilliat Scoggins. Mary was a member of Red Bank United Methodist Church. She was employed at Haygood’s Pecan Factory and later retired from Lexington Medical Center where she worked as a Nurses Aid.
She is survived by her sons, John E. McCracking of Batesburg, Donald L. McCracken of Lexington and special son, J. Christopher Silger; grandchildren, Shannon Lee Camp and Shawn Lee McCracken; brothers, Warren (Pardee) Scoggins, Robert (Ella) Scoggins of Lexington and Gene (Susie) Scoggins of Johnston; sisters-in-law, Pearl B. Scoggins and Geneva Haselden and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Elton McCracken; sister, Violet Scoggins Collins and brothers, James W. Scoggins and Earl C. Scoggins, and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
